im trying to get rid of my stretch marks too and the best thing that has worked for me has be tanning. i was 100 pounds when i got pregnant and was reallly petite and my daughter was a week late she was 8 pounds 14 ounces. so i was pretty stretched out so dont feel bad. but tanning and using creams to fade them really helped me.

look everyone has imperfections. I've actually posed for playboy & I was so concerned that everyone was focused on my small strechmarks, I thought evryone would think of me like the "fat one" in Playboy but i just stayed confident.
And the pictures came out amazing.

That's what you have to do.

I had the same problem. I blamed my genes for looking like zebra after pregnancy until a co-worker of mine showed me her belly after 3 kids--no marks! She told me the only way to get rid of them is to abrade top layer of the skin, this is the layer that cracked.
This procedure costs $200 per treatment in dermatologist office but she is getting online those same abrasion crystals at fraction price and makes her own abrasive cream (1 spoon crystals+ 2 spoons lotion). After massaging this paste she applies collagen rich moisturizer.
I don't want to leave direct link to this site where we get our amazing scrubby crystals because yahoo will suspend my account for advertising so check out the source link or enter into search engine medicalcrystals. Their customer service was extremely nice and answered all my questions specific for my skin type.
I started my treatments 1 month ago and they faded significantly and skin is so smooth no cream can ever do that.

You could use cocoa butter for them that works really well. The best brand to get is Palmer's. It's cheaper than most brands and it works really well. You could also purchase some Vitamin E oil or lotions that contain vitamin E. I hope I helped! : ) And if you use it every everyday as instructed, they will, and I mean WILL, POSITIVELY, ABSOLUTELY, go away!

It is a normal part or growing and changing during your childhood/teen years. Like the others said, it's not necessarily about fat, but could be that you're growing and changing. In fact, it doesn't sound like you are overweight at all. If you'd like to treat them though, you can put a stretch mark cream or oil on them, especially if they are still red such as Bio Oil, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Cream or Nivea's Stretch Mark Cream, all available from drugstores, Target and Wal-Mart. The key is to choose a product with cocoa butter and/or lanolin because they actually work to heal the skin. The newer your stretch marks are, the more likely it is that they will be lessened or elimitated with treatment. If left untreated, they will become less noticable but still there. It is best to treat them while they are still red.

That said, do not let stretch marks define you; even if you don't treat them, you are still beautiful, inside and out. It sounds like you are a happy, healthy and active young woman; keep up this great lactive lifestyle. A lot of people could learn from you! You're doing great!

Before you start thinking you are fat, check with your doctor to see what your weight should be. Most likely you are just growing and your body is changing and redistributing fat and muscles. You sound like you are very active, so you may be developing more muscles as well. This redistribution can cause stretch marks. It just means that your body changed more quickly than the skin did. If you are worried, go to the doctor, they can tell you what is normal and what to expect.

Your ability to lose weight is all based on your height/weight ratio and calories consumed versus calories burned. You have to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound, but you must factor in how many calories you consume as well. Also, you need to be sure that you are drinking AT LEAST 8 cups of water per day, and way more than that since you are active. Try this calculator to determine how much you should be eating to lose weight. Adding a calorie decrease to the activities you already participate in should do the trick. As for the stretch marks, is has nothing to do with age. Significant weight loss or weight gain will leave stretch marks.

Don't worry.
At 12, you are still growing.
This may be embarassing, but you will gain weight and be a little chubby and in a few months you will have grown and will be skinny again. With those sports, it is probably muscle anyway.

Hope this helps :)
